Anaheim University President David Nunan Awarded Convocation Medal by Flinders University - 11/03/06
 On November 2nd, 2006 Dr. David Nunan, the President of Anaheim University was awarded the Convocational Medal by Flinders University in Adelaide, Australia. The Convocation Medal, established in 1991 to mark the 25th anniversary of the University, recognizes substantial and outstanding contributions by graduates to the local, national or international communities through leadership in their field or profession, the advancement of knowledge, the advancement of professional practice and community service. Dr. Nunan, who earned his Ph.D. in Education and Linguistics from Flinders University, was selected for his achievements, including the professional leadership that has had such international significance for the field of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). Past Convocation Award recipients include Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)'s Head of the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory; and Australian Ambassadors to the United States; Chile and Mexico.

ABOUT DAVID NUNAN
David Nunan, President of Anaheim University, has been with the California-based institution since its founding in 1996, when he played a central part in the development of the University's ground-breaking interactive online learning system. Dr. Nunan is a world-renowned linguist and best-selling author of English Language Teaching textbooks for Cambridge University Press, Oxford University Press, and Thomson Learning. David Nunan was invited by the Australian Prime Minister to attend a summit in Sydney Australia in December 1996 as one of the Leading 100 Global Australians.
