Hideo "Joe" Morita

Hideo "Joe" Morita, is the eldest son of the late Sony Founder Akio Morita, who the Anaheim University Akio Morita School of Business is named after. Mr. Morita is the President of Morita Trustee and serves as the 16th head of the family business founded by his ancestors in 1665. Morita Foods is a traditional Japanese food and beverage manufacturer, including some of the highest-profile brand names for sake and "Nenohi" brand sake and "Morita" brand sauces. In addition, he is engaged in a wide variety of businesses including manufacturing, wholesale, retail and food service through his affiliate companies. Joe Morita, is bicultural, growing up in Japan, the UK, and the U.S. In addition to the field of business, Joe Morita has a strong interest in skiing, golf, tennis and car racing and has owned and operated Telluride Ski Resort in Colorado and Arai Mountain in Japan. He was the President of the Special Olympics for Japan and is active in philanthropic activities around the world.
