Anaheim University was
invited to throw the first pitch at the July 8th home game between the
Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and the Texas Rangers, two teams battling
for first place in Major League Baseball's American League West. The University asked its
Tuition Relief supporter and founder of the Body Glove wet suit company
Bob Meistrell to do the honors on behalf of Anaheim University.
Now what made the first pitch really exciting is that following Bob's
pitch an announcement was made that impacts the pocketbooks of new
students enrolling at Anaheim University. The University has extended
its Tuition Relief Program, reducing the tuition fee for all new online
degree applicants by 50% in order to help students in these difficult
economic times.
Anaheim
University selected one of its valued Tuition Relief Program
contributors to throw the first pitch on behalf of the University and
selected Bob Meistrell, the 80-year old founder of the Body Glove.
Don't let the fact that he is 80 years old fool you. Bob is in great
shape and is an avid surfer and diver. How long has Bob been diving?
So long that his L.A. County Diving License is #0001, and not only did
he dive with Jacques Cousteau, but he has spent the 60+ years of his
life helping to solve environmental issues and keep our beaches safe
and clean. Anaheim University salutes Bob Meistrell and the Angels,
two winners who have demonstrated their commitment to the community.
Thank you to all of our Anaheim University, Body Glove and Angels supporters who came out to see Bob throw a fastball.
