Anaheim University is privileged to co-host a TESOL open seminar together with Showa Women's University on Saturday afternoon, August 2, 2014 in Tokyo, Japan. This seminar, entitled “Learners are Different: Catering to Differences,” is open to the public at no cost and features some of the most respected names in the field of TESOL.
On December 5, 2013 the TESOL International Association announced the appointment of Anaheim University Graduate School of Education TESOL Professor Dr. Andy Curtis as President-Elect for the 2014-2015 year. Dr. Curtis's term as President will begin at the conclusion of the TESOL International Convention & English Language Expo in March 2014. To date, five other professors amongst Anaheim University's esteemed TESOL faculty have served as President of the TESOL International Association, which is the world's largest language teaching association: Dr. David Nunan, Dr. Kathleen Bailey, Dr. Denise Murray, Dr. MaryAnn Christison & Dr. Jun Liu.
