Judicial Arbitration and Mediation Services (JAMS) Founder Warren Knight

Judge Knight is the founder of Judicial Arbitration and Mediation Services (JAMS), the largest private Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) provider in the world. His distinguished judicial career includes six years of service with the Orange County Superior Court, two years with the Orange County Municipal Court and twelve years in private practice prior to his appointment to the bench.

In hearing thousands of settlement conferences over the years, Judge Knight became an expert in the area of ADR which led to the founding of JAMS in 1979. Today JAMS handles about 30,000 cases per year, specializing in mediation of complex, multi-party, business/commercial cases in all areas of law throughout the world. Judge Knight has received many awards including a Lifetime Achievement Award from the American College of Civil Trial Mediators in 1997.
